Northwest Bank Announces the Retirement of Region President Julie Marasco, Celebrates Career Milestones and Legacy


Bradford, Pennsylvania — Northwest Bank, a full-service financial institution offering a complete line of business and personal banking solutions, announces the retirement of Senior Vice President, Northwest Pennsylvania Region President, Julie Marasco. A prolific professional and community leader, Marasco’s dedication and commitment has significantly contributed to the bank’s success.

After 46 years of distinguished service, Marasco announced her retirement,julie-marasco.jpg marking the end of an era characterized by leadership, vision and unwavering dedication to Northwest and the Bradford community. Throughout her tenure, Marasco has played a pivotal role in shaping the bank's growth trajectory, fostering customer relationships and championing initiatives aimed at greater business and community development opportunities throughout Northwest Pennsylvania.

Marasco started her career at Northwest as a teller after graduating from Bradford Area High School. From there, she worked her way up through the retail network and spent time in key corporate roles before assuming regional leadership positions, breaking through the glass ceiling to become one of Northwest’s first female leaders.

Simultaneously, Northwest celebrates Marasco’s career milestones and her journey as a successful banking professional. Having always embodied the bank’s core values of customer-centricity, teamwork, inclusion and community support, significant achievements during Marasco’s tenure at Northwest includes her involvement with various economic and community development projects including the Bradford Area Alliance, the City of Bradford’s Neighborhood Partnership Program and the business incubator accelerator, Triangle Works Collaborative, LLC. By establishing partnerships with each organization, Marasco has played a pivotal role in the business and economic advancements of Bradford and McKean County.

"It has been an incredible honor to contribute to the growth and success of Northwest throughout my career,” added Julie Marasco, senior vice president and Northwest Pennsylvania region president. “Reflecting on my time at Northwest, I am immensely proud of our service and care for the community and our customers over the years. As I retire, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities, experiences and friendships that have enriched me both personally and professionally."

As region president, Marasco oversees all aspects of regional operations and strategic initiatives for more than 40 offices in 13 counties within Northwest Pennsylvania. She will retire after a fulfilling career at Northwest in March 2024.
