When will this change take place?
The changes outlined in the letter you received in October will take effect on November 25. If you'd like another copy of this letter, please reach out to your local office or call our Customer Contact Center at 1-877-672-5678.

Why are you making these changes?
At Northwest, we’re always looking for ways to add value to your banking relationship.  These new solutions provide you with account benefits designed to meet your needs throughout your financial journey.

Will my account number change?
No.  Your account number will remain the same.

I have another Northwest account that migrated into a different account—how did that happen?
We migrated accounts based on account type and balance history.  If you’re not sure an account is a fit, we’d be happy to talk with you about our other account options.

Will I receive a new debit card or checks?
No.  You can continue using your existing debit card, debit card numbers and checks.

Will my debit card PIN change?
No.  Your debit card PIN will remain the same.

I have electronic deposits and payments going to and coming from my checking account and/or debit card.  Will there be any disruption to these automatic payments?
No—all electronic deposits and payments will continue without interruption.

Will my Online Banking login ID or password change?
No—your Northwest online account access will remain the same.  If you haven’t given your account a nickname in Online Banking, you’ll start to see your new checking account name in online banking starting November 25.

I’m moving into an Affinity Plus/Affinity Premier account.  What will my interest rate be?
Starting November 25, you can find our latest deposit rates here.

Is there anything I need to do?
No—there’s nothing you need to do other than use your account as you have in the past.  If you’d like to learn more about your new checking account’s features and benefits, or our other account options, visit any Northwest office, call 1-877-672-5678 or check out the resources on this page.

Questions about account terms and conditions

I’m an Affinity Plus/Affinity Premier customer—what’s a “deposit relationship balance”?
The deposit relationship balance is calculated by adding the current balances in all Northwest Bank deposit accounts as of the close of your statement cycle for this checking account. Accounts used to calculate your deposit relationship balance include all Northwest checking, savings, money market, certificate of deposit, and individual retirement accounts owned by at least one of the owners listed on this checking account. Only personal accounts that are either solely owned, jointly owned, or account trustees, will qualify for relationship balances. Holds placed on deposits according to our Funds Availability Policy Disclosure do not reduce your current balance for deposit relationship balance calculation. Any account used in the calculation of your deposit relationship balance may be subject to its own service charge and must still meet the requirements disclosed for waiving the service charge specific to that account as applicable.

I’m not willing to pay a paper statement fee.  Why is it in place and how do I avoid it?
Northwest eStatements eliminate clutter, reduce the use of paper to protect the environment and allow you to securely store statements and other important account documents online for seven years. You can avoid a paper statement fee and get up to $10* if you enroll your Northwest accounts in eStatements before December 31.  To sign up, log into or enroll in Northwest Online Banking.  When you’re in Online Banking, click the statements tab and enroll all your accounts in eStatements.

What can I do to avoid a $2 non-Northwest ATM fee?
As a Northwest customer, you have free access to Northwest ATMs, found at most Northwest locations.  Find them using our locator here.  You also have access to more than 55,000 free ATMs worldwide at popular retailers like Target, Rite-Aid, CVS, Walgreens and Wegmans.  Find them at www.allpointATMnetwork.com or by downloading the Allpoint app.

*All Northwest accounts, whether individually or jointly held, must be enrolled in eStatements to receive the $10 bonus. Bonus will be deposited into a checking or savings account on which you are listed as an account owner within 30 days of last eStatements enrollment. Not available for business accounts. See bank for details.
